OUR PRINCIPLES
To operate on an “integrated” level: in its development operations, AMKA cares about the different components which form a society and that can represent growth. For this, AMKA decided to operate in different areas at the same time, like education and literacy, health and productive activities. The projects are bonded to each other and the local equipe work in a cross-sectioned way.
Promote the active involvement of the population: the beneficiaries of AMKA’s presence are not simple “addressees”, but represent an active subject which requests and elaborate strategies to hack it. The costitutive aspect of this approach is the empowerment, which means to “stimulate and support people’s abilities throughout learning, organization and action”.
To believe difference as a value: AMKA works to allow to every person equal dignity in respect of cultural diversities perceived as a basic right and development root. The latter is acknowledged not only in economical growth, but as a way to obtain a more satisfactory existence from every point of view.
